This is a Comprehensive Facts & Evidence based presentation of the Issues relating to Intimate Partner Violence aka Domestic Violence in the LGBT and Mainstream Society made to promote Australia's #LGBT #DomesticViolence Awareness Day on 28 May 2020.
The Research clearly shows that the relationship between HIV and Domestic Violence is directly linked to Stigma & Discrimination which the WA HIV Strategy lists as a priority area. The research shows that the rates of LGBT Domestic Violence are far higher than in the Heterosexual Community with Bisexual Women 61%, Lesbians 47%, Trans 30%, Bi Men 28% & Gay Men 26%. Heterosexual Men have a rate of 1.8% and we’re told it’s a National Emergency yet these figures which are supported by research and crime statistics in Australia and overseas are being covered up by the LGBT & HIV Community Leaders.
Gay, Bi, Trans & Straight Men are discriminated against by Health Systems that refuse on ideological grounds to provide help for Male Victims of Domestic Violence. As a result the male suicide statistics include large numbers of Males who kill themselves due to relationship & family violence. Everyone should be disgusted at the Coverup that is killing people!
The well funded AIDS Industry needs to focus on Supporting People with HIV & money given to support People with HIV should not be diverted into politically activist programs for HIV negative LGBTQ+ people. The AIDS Industry needs to be Forced to address the core issue of LGBT & HIV Domestic Violence via Awareness Prevention with Gender Neutral Education Materials.
It is shameful that many Gay Male Victims of Domestic Violence suffering from HIV, are not being helped by the well funded AIDS Industry. e.g. #EndTheGayMethCrisis would help #EndLGBTDomesticViolenceNow
Straight Male Victims of Domestic Violence, especially those with HIV, should also be able to access help to leave domestic abusers & suicide should stop being seen as the only option!
